IVF with Sperm Donor is used when the husband’s sperm is unable to fertilize the egg or when a single woman wants to have a child. It might not be possible to use a man’s sperm when production of spermatozoa is severely impaired or absent, often caused by sperm damage following surgery, radiation or chemotherapy.
Sperm donation also gives the opportunity to single women and homosexual couples to have children, depending on the laws of each country.
We currently have our own Mediterranean Fertility Bank, from where you can choose a sperm donor. This is a group of donors from multinational ethnicities due to the large number of international students and expat workers.
We are also the representatives of Seattle Sperm Bank in Cyprus. This gives you access to many more ethnicities to satisfy every patient’s needs. Alternatively, we cooperate with various European and American sperm banks, giving you a wide choice of sperm donors, both anonymous and non-anonymous. The choice of the donor depends entirely on the patient who will be advised to review several donor profiles before making a final decision.
